Sourdough bread is easier for some people to digest. It stays fresh longer without airtight packaging than standard bread. If you’re going to slice daily you can leave the loaf standing on its cut end.




Picture a bench lined with jars of sourdough starter. In front of those jars are loaves of sourdough breads in proofing baskets, tucked in for a slow rise overnight. The oven fires up early in the morning while I score the loaves.

This loaf is 1.5 pounds before baking, 50% larger than many other sourdough loaves on the market.

Sourdough starter is fed daily and fed again before being used.
